Soli Deo Gloria Brass Band In Atlanta

SDG Brass Band announces its upcoming trip to Atlanta, Georgia, in response to the warm invitation extended by Rev. Titi Cocian, pastor of the First Romanian Baptist Church of Atlanta (“FRBC Atlanta”).  A celebratory service will be held on the morning of November 9, 2014 (Sunday), at 1280 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd. Northwest, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30043 (www.frbcatlanta.org), during which Rev. Valentin Popovici will preach the Gospel and the SDG Brass Band will praise the Lord with a suite of songs selected from the recent Festival and Europe trip.  The service is part of FRBC Atlanta’s extended celebration of its 30-Year Anniversary.

Festival 2018

The SDG Brass Band is pleased to announce that our 8 th Annual Festival will be held this year on Sunday, September 30, 2018 , at the Betel Romanian Baptist Church.  The address is 330 W. Touhy Avenue, Park Ridge, Illinois 60068. The Festival will have two sessions: (1) a United Band morning presentation @ 10:00 am – 12:30 pm, during which players from many cities and Churches of United States and Canada will join forces and play together as “one,” and (2) an Individual Band presentation @ 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm, during which various bands will present their own song selections. The Festival will be preceded by four all-day rehearsals on September 8, 15, 22, and 29. For the United Band presentation, we anticipate learning and playing a rich repertoire of brand new songs, including Festival-specific arrangements, by contemporary composers Teodor Caciora, Cristi Holerga, Remus Moroșan, Joshua Popovici, and brothers Brandon and Steven Giurgiu. Festival 2017

  Festival 2017 – October 15, 2017 Chicago – 10:00 AM: Our 7th Annual Festival will be held on Sunday, October 15, at the Betel Romanian Baptist Church, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm. The address is 330 W. Touhy Avenue. Park Ridge, Illinois 60068. As special guest, we have the pleasure of welcoming back fratele Puiu Muntean – director at Șiria, Arad. The song selection will consist primarily of new arrangements by fratele Muntean, as well as new arrangements by our own treasured arrangers – fratele Remus Moroșan and fratele Joshua Popovici. After the morning service, we further tentatively plan to have presentations by individual brass bands during an afternoon service 3:00-6:00 pm.
